Hello, art lovers! My name is Heather Hageman and I've recently moved to slower lower Delaware from Connecticut. I currently live in Millsboro and, among other things, enjoy teaching art lessons and serving in the garden club of the beautiful, quaint town of Milton. Travel is another joy, and I have been fortunate to travel Europe extensively.

I graduated with a degree in fine arts and biology in 1994 and have worked as a freelance artist and teacher ever since. Love of painting first hit when taking an introductory painting course my freshman year. Unable to give up either my love of biology or of art, I decided to major in both. I suppose that these interests have led me to focus primarily on botanicals, still life compositions, and landscapes.

I especially enjoy the use of overlapping glazes and textures. Because of this, watercolor is my primary, but not sole, medium. I enjoy colored pencil almost as much as watercolor. I will often combine the two as I have done in several of the paintings shown in my galleries.
